Nature seems to have no trouble distinguishing from superior and inferior specimens. Kill, or be killed. Eat, or be eaten. It is all an amazing cycle of life and death, eliminating the weak while the strong survive.
So why should I spare anyone who's weaker than I am? It makes no sense to go against man's animal nature.
Actually... I think he handled it very well, all things considered. And I can see where he's coming from, really.
